Hops for Hope Pittsburgh

Join us for our first pop up Hops for Hope event in Pittsburgh! This event is a FUNdraiser that pairs corporate teams with local breweries to who work together to choose and present their favorite beer to hundreds of attendees at an epic beer tasting and fundraising competition on Sunday, October 14. It’s the perfect opportunity to mix corporate social responsibility, employee engagement, and local beer!

H4H is an event within an event where Children’s Flight of Hope is partnering with LionHeart Event Group to host Hops for Hope inside downtown Pittsburgh’s newest beer festival – Pittoberfest! H4H will be held on the 2nd day of this two-day beer festival where “Germany Meets Pittsburgh”, so you can expect local Pittsburgh beer and bands, as well as traditional German folk and brews. Hops for Hope teams, breweries and participants will have full access to both days of Pittoberfest.

How It Works

Hops for Hope Pittsburgh matches 10 local breweries with 10 enthusiastic teams who work together to promote the brewery’s best beer and all while raising funds for charity. All proceeds from H4H benefit Children’s Flight of Hope, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides air transportation for children to access specialized medical care. Last year’s event raised more than $70,000 for CFOH!

Tickets will be sold to the public prior to and day of, and then at the event, beers will be tasted and voted on, games of chance will be offered for purchase, swag will be sold, and funds and awareness will be generated for Children’s Flight of Hope. Easy access to online fundraising resources will be provided for teams, and digital purchase options for both sponsorship and ticket sales will be made available. By participating in Hops for Hope Pittsburgh, team members will have full access to the entire 2-day Pittoberfest beer festival. Breweries that participate will be given first opportunity to sell their beer during festival through LionHeart Event Group distributors.

*The team entry fee is $350 for 10 team members, $35 for each additional member, and there is no minimum fundraising requirement. Members get event t-shirts, entry into H4H, and access to Pittoberfest beer festival.

CFOH & Pittsburgh

Over the last 3 years, CFOH has provided more than 100 flights to bring children and families to Pittsburgh for treatment, or in support of Pittsburgh-area families seeking treatment at other specialty centers nationwide.  In that time CFOH has paid roughly $140,000 to make these flights happen. CFOH has partnered with American Airlines, local aviation companies like Pittsburgh Jet Center and Atlantic Aviation, and the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh at UPMC to provide compassionate and free air transportation that will save, prolong or dramatically improve the quality of life for children in need. It has been an absolute honor and we want to do more! Together, we can do more!

Stories of Hope

The greatest reward for CFOH is hearing the stories of the families weve helped.

They are stories of courage, of compassion, of love, and - most certainly - of hope.
