Our volunteers are the heart and backbone of our organization. With a small administrative staff of one full-time and one part-time person we rely on our volunteers heavily to assists us at implementing all of our various projects and fundraising efforts.

There are many ways an individual can fundraise for CFOH. It is all boils down to your comfort level and imagination.
Every dollar raised is important to our organization as it all adds up to make a mission possible. An average mission can cost up to $2800 depending on where the pick-up location is, the distance we are flying and the fuel costs at that time.
Host a house party!
Instead of your friends bringing the chips and dip, you provide the food and fun, they bring a donation. It’s a good excuse to hold a gathering while raising money at the same time.
Different themes you might want to consider:
• Super Bowl
• Anti-Valentines Day
• Girl’s night-in party!
• St. Patricks Day
• April Fool’s Day
• Cinco de Mayo
• Academy Awards
• Survivor
• American Idol
• Halloween
• New Years
• Margarita Night
• Jewelry Party
Progressive neighborhood dinner Get together with a few neighbors and have each household host a dinner course (appetizers, salad, main course, dessert). Charge a price per person or per couple and enjoy some time together as friends!
Hold a garage sale with all or a portion of the proceeds going to CFOH!
Set-up a lemonade stand so your kids can raise money for other kids in need!
Think out-side the box, fundraising for an organization you care about CAN BE FUN!

Event support
Children's Flight of Hope provides qualified pilots with the opportunity to combine their love of flying with critical community service.
We operate and maintain our own aircraft, a fixed-wing, twin-engine Cessna 414 that seats six people. The aircraft is housed at Sanford Regional Airport. We can serve destinations within 600 miles of the airport but require that our missions either originate or end within 200 miles of Raleigh, NC.
Each CFH flight is staffed with two pilots. No other organization requires this. We believe this differentiating factor increases our ability to provide the safest service possible while providing additional comfort to the families that we fly.
The requirements our volunteer pilots must meet are more stringent than those required by most volunteer pilot organizations. The Pilot in Command on each flight must have completed:
2,000 total flight hours
500 hours of flight time in a multi-engine aircraft
50 hours of flight time in the type of aircraft we own (a Cessna 414)
10 hours of flight time within the last 180 days
Each Pilot in Command must also attend recurrent training (paid for by CFH) each year with a national flight training organization. Our co-pilots must be multi-engine instrument-rated and current.
If you are a pilot and are interested in helping sick children in need in our region, please fill-out our online form!
