Jaclyn’s Story
Some of our children become not only beneficiaries of our service but advocates for our mission. Jaclyn, a young lady with cerebral palsy, was suffering continuous violent seizures that seemed uncontrollable. A specialist far away offered experience with her condition and hope for relief. Not only did we transport her as we do all of our children, but we gave her an opportunity to be heard. She has shared with our supporters about the challenges she and her family face – allowing her courage and compassion to shine. She has become a volunteer for CFOH. Our major fundraising event became her platform to encourage all of us to contribute to those in need in some way, whether through CFOH or through the many other organizations and individuals efforts that allow us to exercise our compassion.
