Board of Directors

Our Board is eight members strong! These wonderful volunteers bring a variety of skills and experience to our work in addition to their passion for serving children in need. As you would expect given our small staff, each of our board members is integrally involved in our operations and fundraising. All are highly valued and have enabled the exciting success that we have experienced over the last two years.

Geff Erickson, Ph.D. is our current board President. Geff joined the organization as a volunteer after learning about Children’s Flight of Hope while completing an EMT certification course in 1996. Since then, he has played a variety of roles in the organization – volunteer flight attendant, board member, Secretary, Vice President, and now President. Geff is the President and CEO of Humacyte, a development-stage company focused on the creation and commercialization of engineered human products for several applications. Prior to Humacyte, Geff was with Pappas Ventures, a life science venture capital firm in North Carolina.  Geff is also an Assistant Adjunct Professor in the Department of Surgery at Duke University.

Noah Duncan is our current board Treasurer. He began working with the organization in 1993 and has since played a wide variety of roles – golf tournament volunteer, pilot, and board member. Noah has also generously contributed the use of his own aircraft when required for missions and tournament recruiting. He is the owner of Century Care Management and Pride in North Carolina, Inc. In addition to his service for CFH, Noah is also the Chairman of the Board of the Shepherd’s Table Soup Kitchen in Raleigh and the Assistant Treasurer of Raleigh’s Church of the Good Shepherd.
